King’s Community Church Auditorium

TNG provided full duties detailed design services for this impressive, but complex, King’s Community Church Auditorium development.

Specialist Auditorium

This new construction, in Hedge End, Southampton, was built to the south of the existing church. It provides a 1300-seat Auditorium and a selection of additional accommodation; including a creche, family room, youth room and office space.

The systems designed for this unusual space comprised; high level displacement supply air (in the Auditorium), heating and cooling generated by gas-fired air source heat pumps, high efficiency heat recovery ventilation and a trace-heated hot water system.

A complex lighting control system, with scene selection, was provided within the main Auditorium. High efficiency lighting with lighting occupancy and daylight sensing controls was provided. Plus, containment routes for future audio visual requirements, and sub-metering of the LV distribution.
