Project Overview

This major project involved the construction of a new secondary school on a greenfield site in St Brelade, Jersey. The 58,000m² facility, designed to accommodate 850 students, boasts an array of modern amenities, including a sports centre, all-weather multi-use sports pitches, and specialised facilities for students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).

Notably, this was the first construction project in Jersey to utilise the BIM Level 2 process, incorporating advanced 3D modelling. The project faced several challenges with its 2-year construction timeline and phased works, further complicated by the unforeseen impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Despite these hurdles, the school was completed in the summer of 2020 and was officially opened by HRH The Princess Royal in June 2021.
