TNG is now closed for Christmas – we shall be back on 2nd January.

Project Overview

This project involved constructing a new lifeboat station at Wells-next-the-Sea on the North Norfolk coast. The original building, dating back to 1895, had been extensively expanded over the years to accommodate larger lifeboats. However, it was approaching the end of its useful life, and further extensions were no longer feasible.

The new station was built on a concrete podium at a higher elevation, a few hundred yards away from the previous building. The building was primarily constructed from timber, framed with glulam beams and natural materials, and featured a standing-seam metal-clad roof.
