The Court Yard, Portswood Road, Southampton
TNG was commissioned to act as the Client Advisor for a new student/residential construction that provided 50 self-contained studio apartments. This involved monitoring the detailed design of the modular build to ensure it met the Clients brief throughout the build.
The Court Yard
The development consisted of a mixture of one, two and three bedroom units set around a central courtyard. The new build project also included a common social room and laundry, as well as an undercover car park and a bike store. Provision was also made for a commercial retail unit.
Pre-fabricated timber pods, manufactured in Latvia, were utilised by the Developer because they provided quick construction on site. This therefore, enabled the new occupants to start settling in during the start of the new term.
Whilst the project was on-site, TNG was also employed to oversee the installation of main plant equipment in order to ensure the installation quality.
In addition, TNG provided its professional advice on the incoming services to the site, thus ensuring there was sufficient capacity for the mechanical and electrical services that would serve the new build.
