TNG’s ‘BIM Unplugged’ Seminar
Contractors, construction industry professionals and other organisations considering extensive building works, can find out the latest on Building Information Modelling – or BIM – thanks to our free BIM Unplugged seminar in November.
Next month, our experts will help attendees understand how the industry is progressing in relation to Government targets for BIM; a process for creating and managing information on a construction project across the project life-cycle.
During the ‘BIM Unplugged’ breakfast seminar, held on Friday 10th November at The Ageas Bowl in Southampton, Russ Pitman, our Managing Director, will share the company’s learning experiences with attendees and help equip them with the confidence to push forward with BIM.
Lee Windebank, our BIM Accredited Professional (AP) will co-host the event. Lee is a Member of the BRE Academy.
Russ Pitman, believes that everyone is able to work in a BIM environment. He wants to help people gain a greater understanding of BIM, and the confidence to integrate it into construction projects.
BIM allows all of the parties involved in a project to work together more effectively, improving the process and co-ordination. But there’s still uncertainty within the industry. We are therefore, aiming to bring clarity and share our knowledge on effectively working with Revit and BIM. The seminar will also be a great opportunity to network with new and familiar faces.
We first held a BIM seminar in 2013 (as Henderson Green), to encourage clients and professionals to take a proactive approach to understanding the Governments requirements. Following the seminar, we established a working group with other businesses and set up an in-house task group.
Four years on, TNG has worked on numerous BIM projects and has gained a good understanding of the obstacles that are still being faced today.
