This morning, TNG welcomed guests to our annual technical seminar, where this year’s theme – Power Up Your Words – put clear, effective communication centre stage.

Our guest speaker, Chris Van Schaick, held the room with practical insights drawn from decades of experience. Chris is a writing skills coach with an impressive background, having worked as a journalist, editor and senior leader at the BBC, and as script executive for the global TV coverage of the Olympic Games in London, Sochi, Rio and Pyeongchang.
Writing with Confidence
Chris has already coached our own team at TNG, and the impact was immediate: stronger writing, clearer messaging and greater confidence. With so many of us wrestling with overflowing inboxes and constant instant messaging, it felt the right moment to open this learning up to our clients and wider network.
The sessions challenged us to strip away unnecessary complexity, focus on what matters and present information in a format people can quickly absorb and act on. We hope our guests left with ideas they can take back to their teams and apply straight away.
