We are delighted to announce that Senior Mechanical Engineer, Dan Simpkins, has been awarded Chartered Engineer status.

CIBSE MEMBERSHIP

Dan’s engineering skills and knowledge were assessed as part of his application for CIBSE ‘Member’ membership. The application requires candidates to demonstrate their competence through the submission of an engineering practice report, followed by an interview assessment.

The Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineers (CIBSE) is the professional engineering association, based in London, that represents building services engineers.

POST-NOMINAL TITLES

Dan joins Russ Pitman, our Managing Director, as Chartered Engineers within our Mechanical team. He can now also add CEng and MCIBSE to his professional title.

We have other Engineers in the process of completing the rigorous application with CIBSE. In the future, we look forward to them joining Dan and Russ, bolstering our Chartered Engineer headcount even more.

INNOVATION

Chartered Engineers (CEng) and Members of CIBSE (MCIBSE) are recognised as having a higher level of expertise and competence due to their extensive work in industry.

They are expected to develop solutions to engineering problems using new or existing technologies, through innovation, creativity and change; they may also have specialist technical experience in complex system scenarios with higher levels of risk.

EXCELLENCE

As a consultancy that makes excellence a top priority, we encourage all our Engineers to work towards Chartered status. We do however, appreciate the time commitment it needs to produce the in-depth practice report they are to submit with their application.
