Research and Development at BAT
TNG is delighted to be working for British American Tobacco, through CBRE, at its Southampton based Research and Development facility.
Full Duties Design
We are providing ‘full duties’ mechanical and electrical design for the replacement of a critical laboratory fresh air AHU (Air Handling Unit). Our work shall also include exhaust flue alterations and modifications to the pipework and ductwork systems. In addition, our designs shall incorporate BMS migration, power and controls wiring.
Work is due to start on site in October later this year. Our Engineers are currently busy on site surveying the existing installation.
The Next Generation
The R&D site focuses on developing and testing a next generation of potentially less risky alternatives to conventional cigarettes, including Vapour Products (e-cigarettes) and Tobacco Heating Products.
Having similar ‘next generation’ values, TNG is pleased to provide its Laboratory and Research expertise to this important facility.
