Clean Steam Generator, Alderney Hospital CSSD

This multiple-phased scheme provided a new modular Clean Steam facility serving the Central Sterile Services Department (CSSD) at Alderney Hospital in Poole.

Clean Steam Generator

New plant was required to enhance the current steam supply to 4 no sterilisers, in order to improve the quality of the steam used in the sterilisation of medical and surgical instruments.

TNG provided separate tendered works packages for the plantroom and the works to the existing steam system.

The first project comprised the design, supply and delivery of two self-contained packaged plantrooms.  In addition, the works included offloading, setting into position, connecting to external services and the testing and commissioning of the plant. The new modular plantrooms contained a new clean steam generator and Reverse Osmosis (RO) plant.

An additional package included the remedial works to the existing systems serving the CSSD Department.
